What a Wednesday!

There is nothing special going on today.  But there have been some things going on that I have taken notice of.

1) We found out how much it is going to cost to pay for my son's braces.  Whew!  Well, there went the plans to go see our oldest Daughter in Virginia Beach.  Maybe we can go somewhere a bit closer.  We'll have to see.

2)  Did you hear about the Japanese Student going to the University of California-Riverside, CA?  Her family and town was in the middle of the tsunami in Japan.  For three days she cried, not knowing if anyone of her family survived.  But then on Sunday night, she received an email from someone saying that her family had survived.  They had been seen on a media broadcast.  She searched and searched and finally someone sent her a link.  The broadcast showed that the devastation in her city was immense, so immense, that her family home was the only thing standing.  All around them was rubble.  It showed her sister, standing on a balcony outside her bedroom with a sign that read something like "We all survived."  We being herself, her parents, her paternal grandparents, and a younger sister.  The student in America is now trying to use the media to get word back to her family that she saw them.  What an amazing story.  I love the stories like this that come from all the horrible, terrible things we are seeing and hearing coming from Japan.  I pray for that nation.

3) Today is 3/16/11.  A Christian radio station had dubbed today John 3:16 day.  It is from the Bible and reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life."  Those are words I share with each of you today.

Hope your day is wonderful!

Weekend Update July 30 - August 1, 2010

My beautiful 16 year old.  It was her Sweet Party!
And who could for get Son, and his ahem, "GIRLS"!
Saturday...we went to a wedding and more dancing...
Daughter, Son and Crackle (don't ask, that's his nickname) doing the Cupid Shuffle.
Sunday...
And a company picnic... with the Kona Ice truck!   Their new cheesecake flavor is to die for!  WOW.  It's like this shaved ice snowcone thing.  Loved it!

A birthday celebration.  Fox, Gpa, 3L, the Fries', Mrs. A, and Ms. Louise.  There was another one that was over 85, "MOM", but we didn't make her stand up there with the rest.  As you can see it was another crazy weekend here with See Foxes.  What did you do this weekend?

Is it Wednesday?

This week is all about exams for the highschoolers.
My daughter has two exams today, tomorrow, and maybe
three on Thursday. Then the school system has Friday and Monday off.

The picture is of most of the percussionist in the pep band.
My kids are 3rd and 4th from the left. The boy is almost as tall as the girl! He is taking pride in being taller than her. He loves that he is already taller than me. Ha, ha.
Well the kids ended up not having a pep band game last night (that is what I call a basketball game with the pep band's participation). Something about the other team did not realize there was a game. We ended up having a free night. So I made the kids go over and help me with my Ipod and update theirs.

I came into work this AM and our Executive Assistant had been off because her daughter got married over the weekend. So I asked her about it and she told me it was wonderful and so was hers. WHAT? Apparently she was getting married last September and her daughter asked her not to until after her wedding. So the mom said, "Okay, we will get married the day after yours." Is the too funny? She didn't publicize it or anything, but that is funny-strange to me. LOL. So I have to now remember her new last name. Good grief! You would think it is Wacky Wednesday.

Have a great day!
