Week 3 of Foxys Garden

It's been a crazy few weeks, so I guess it is week 3 of our garden.  It's doing pretty well.  Here are some pictures.

This is our 17 volunteer tomatoes that are out in front of our house.

These are the newest beans that Foxy planted next too the back porch.

That bare spot is where the cute, but silly rabbits have been feeding on my beans.

Here are some other tomatoes we planted.

Here are some beans inside the garden, growing in a row.

I think this is either cantaloupe or watermelon.

Here are three hills of beans, all the seeds seems to have sprouted.

This is the start of my zucchini.

I can not wait for the cucumbers.

I think this is the watermelon.  But it could be the cantaloupe.

Week 1 of the Fox Garden

Wow I can't believe it's Friday already.  I've been training all week and trying to learn my new job.  Last night, I closed the store and did a decent job.  It's been a busy week at work, and this weekend will probably be crazy busy.

Tomorrow I work 9 - 4, and  then I am off until Monday evening.  Tomorrow, I am not sure what we will do.  Daughter is going to Kings Island with her friends.  Son went yesterday and today.  He did get the yard mowed today, though.

Here are the weekly pictures of the garden.  I am so excited to see the beans, cucumbers and cantalope coming up.  We planted more beans along the back porch fence.  This will not make Josie Belle happy because she likes to see out that back.  Also, we found out front, 17 new tomato plants growing.  That is exciting!

These first two pictures are of the beans sprouting straight up.

This is one of the cucumber hills trying to peek out at us.

Here is one of three poles Foxy put in the ground and planted 20 - 30 bean seeds all around.

Here is a tomato plant.

I think this is a cantalope.

There are the volunteer cherry tomatoes that come up on the back porch.  It will grow to be huge!

We water our garden when God doesn't.  And right now, God isn't watering anything near us.  It's hot!

This is out front.  If you look closely, there are a bunch of tomato plants randomly coming up.

This is the biggest of the volunteer tomatoes.

It's Monday!  I work today, then come home and water the garden, keep laundry going, and spend time with the family.  We are having Chicken 'n Rice with Broccoli.

This is the last week of school.  Graduation is Thursday evening.  I can't believe it's over all ready.  Daughter will be a senior.  WOW!  We are already planning for Senior Pictures, thinking about band camp, and what this summer will hold.  I don't think we will have much of a break.

Daughter has Field Commander tryouts for band this week, as well as practice for Memorial Day Service.  I am working/training a lot, and Foxy is working at least one day of OT this week.  Son is planning to go to Kings Island soon, and my secret pal at church gave me a gift card to a movie theater.  I'd like to take the family to a movie.  Any suggestions?  Maybe the Avengers?

Well, I am gotta go.  Have a great day and I'll be back later!

It Must Be Time for the Garden!

It's Friday!  We chocked full of goodness and busyness this weekend.  Both Foxy and I work all weekend.  Daughter has a birthday party tonight, a band meeting with her classmates tomorrow morning, and her and Son are going with my parents to a relative's wedding.  Sunday she will be studying for finals.  Son is going to Gpa's to help out, then having his girlfriend over tonight for a while.

Yesterday, Foxy, Son and I planted the garden.  Gpa is planting the lettuce (of which he gave me some yesterday), peppers, tomatoes, radishes, cabbages and brussel sprouts.  We are planting the squashes, you know, zucchini, watermelon, cucumbers, and beans.  We have three little plants of volunteers, which are things that just come up where ever they may.  These are cherry tomatoes.  So that is exciting.  Here are some pictures of the beautiful day and garden.

Foxy and Son getting the bean fence up.
We are trying a box garden.  Right now it has Chillie Slims planted.
 Ain't it pretty?

Busy Thursday!

So this has been a busy week.  I now have a full time job as an Assistant Manager that I am in training for and we  have church, school, marching band meetings going on.  It's a busy time.  Today is my day off.  We are going to plant some of the garden.  I am very excited about this.  I will take pictures to document.

I also found out that a lilly (I think) that I planted in the front of the house last spring is coming up and about to bloom.  That is something I am very excited about.

This next school year, our daughter will graduate high school.  So I told hubby that we have until next April to get landscaping done for this because I would like it nice for that.  He wants to do that back too.

So I am up and ready to get our planting going.  Tonight we have a Mandatory Marching Band meeting tonight.  Since I am the Booster President, I get to make a speech.  O joy!  I have to plan that out.  I also have sign up sheets for volunteers for everything.  I hope I can motivate others to get this done.

And, I'm back!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted here.  Well, hopefully I can get back on track.

It's been a crazy winter, and now that summer is almost here, I hope that I can encourage others, and give some recipes and just document our life.

Today I start my new position at The Store.  I will be a full-time Assistant Manager.  I've been there since Halloween and I have really enjoyed retail.  Strange as that sounds, it has been different, fun and I am glad I am  not behind a desk anymore.  There have been some interesting things go on at the store, and I'll let them flow here when I can, but for now, I am alive, and starting work today.

Foxy and I are planning to plant a garden soon.  It is now after Mother's Day so we need to get it out.  Maybe Thursday, if it stops raining.  I am excited about that.  So I hope you join me again sometime.  Have a great day!
